nonprofitBake Sale for Haiti - SE PortlandSubmitted by marcy on January 15, 2010 - 11:13amFor those of you in Portland, OR, a bake sale to raise $$ to help Haiti is being held this Saturday, January 16th from 10-12 in the Sellwood Community Center lobby. They need lots of baked goods, so if you would like to bring something to donate, please bring it between 9:30 and 9:45am. And please come buy lots of baked goodies! All proceeds will go to support the Doctors Without Borders relief effort in Haiti. Have your kids help make some yummy treats - it's a great way to have your kids contribute to a good cause. Cafe au PlayOur Military Kids DescriptionOur Military Kids provides tangible support to the children of deployed and severely injured National Guard and Military Reserve personnel through grants for enrichment activities and tutoring that nurture and sustain the children during the time a parent is away in service to our country. OMK grants are made to honor the sacrifices military parents make and to ensure that the children have access to activities and support that help the children better cope with challenges arising during a parent's deployment or injury recovery.
