For the first time in the US, we present Little Ustaads, an Indian Classical Music class for children between the ages of 0-5. Little Ustaads allows children and parents to discover and appreciate the world of Indian classical music through rhythmic tunes, rich vocals, mini instruments and vibrant visuals. Each 45 minute structured session will encompass the secrets and charm of traditional music presented in a contemporary style. The carefully designed content will promote emotional development, hand and eye coordination, mental stimulation, auditory refinement and exploratory play in a fun and effortless manner.  DescriptionBased on an award-winning PBS show, these classes (and the Signing Time videos) teach American Sign Language signs to your infant/toddler or older child with music, pictures, and silly songs, and you'll be amazed how quickly you'll find your child starting to be able to communicate. Our teacher, Carissa Martos, is the only Instructor in Oregon certified at the Advanced Level through the Signing Time Academy. She holds a B.A. in English from the University of California in Berkeley, and is currently earning her Master's in Teaching. She's also the mother of two children with special-needs for whom Sign Language has worked near miracles, and is a member of Hands and Voices and the Oregon Association of the Deaf.
