My Smart Hands provides sign language instruction for hearing babies and their caregivers.

Classes are forming now for Smart Hands Level One, eight weekly sessions of 45 minutes each, where caregivers and children will learn over 100 signs in American Sign Language (ASL). Classes are done in a playful, educational, and language-rich environment.

Research shows that signing babies:

*Talk sooner

*Have larger vocabularies

*Have less frustration, crying, and tantrums

*Engage in more sophisticated play

*Score higher on IQ tests(when tested at age 7-8)

The focus of the first workshop is on sustainable living and how to do it on a budget. I talk about saving money on groceries but still buying local and organic, eliminating the need to go to the grocery store, simplifying your cupboards, and purifying your home by eliminating plastics and other petroleum and chemical based products and SO much more. We will "walk" through each room of a typical home and talk about what is found in them that is traditionally not made "green" and how to replace these items. You will be surprised how many items are petroleum based or sprayed with chemicals. You will walk away with a notebook full of practical information and the knowledge to implement it in your life.
