Starting Monday, December 1st, and running through Friday, December 12th, customers of the online store Cat in an Apron, at www.catinanapron.com will be able to choose the charity to which they would like to donate 15% of sales from their order. The site, a babies? and kids? online accessories and apparel boutique, is based in Portland and will focus on giving back through local and international charities with this promotion appropriately named ?Twelve days of Christmas.? The twelve charities selected to receive funds from Cat in an Apron are as follows: Dove Lewis, Casa Cards, Portland Rescue Mission, Shepherd?s Door, Meals on Wheels/Loaves and Fishes, Habitat for Humanity, One Campaign, World Vision, Autism Society of America, Children?s AIDS Fund, St. Jude?s Hospital, and Special Olympics. Customers can email their choice to Marne at info@catinanapron.com once their order is placed. They will then receive confirmation that the charity has received the funds. Cat in an Apron?s handmade kids and babies? apparel and accessories are made by designers in the Pacific NW. All products are designed to last through more than one child wearing in a family, preferably three.
