Looking for a Playgroup in Portland

hello. my family is relocating to the portland area this spring. we have a 3 and 4 year old. i would like any advice on where to rent a house while we are looking for a home. would like to be close to the city. also close to other families. both will need to attend preschool in the fall. any advice on good preschools?? any help would be soo appreciated.

Not sure if it's just me but I can't seem to find any a calendar. We are a new family to Portland and really would like to join a playgroup or find some activities. Would someone steer me in the right direction? Thanks!
