Eco Friendly Chef/Caterer

Just wanted to intoduce myself. I work in the Portland area as a Personal Chef and Small Event Caterer. I maintain an organic garden of fresh fruits and vegetables, recycle, compost all waste and favor local products packaged in recyclable containers. I even have a small group of hens for farm fresh eggs!

I work for other mothers concerned with the same issues and have tried to do my part to create a company model that will help secure a future for our young ones. After cooking professionally for ten years in restaurants and hotels I realized that the food industry needs a lot of work. I remember taking boxes of left overs that would otherwise be thrown out down the street to hand out to homeless women at my bus stop.

In the four years since starting Portland Home Chef I feel like I've arrived at a busines model that reduces waste to almost nothing and sources almost everything from within the Northwest. Let me know if you ever need any help. I am listed under services or at portlandhomechef.com.
